The What, Where and Why of Sweet-Akari.net

What

Sweet-Akari.net is basically a home for everything I do online. :D My sites are hosted here, and it's sort of the place where my creative juices flow.

Where

It's hosted on DreamHost, using the Crazy Domain Insane plan. The plan provides 150 MB of space and 20 GB of bandwidth for $9.95 a month, in case you're curious. I've been very happy with Dreamhost.

Why

I've created several websites over the past five years or so, and my dream was always to create something that people actually visited. I figured that once I had a sign that one of my sites was at least semi-popular, I would take the plunge and get a domain and some webspace. Well, it finally happened. My Inuyasha site, Dog-boy, starting overrunning its bandwidth on Tripod, every single day. I knew the time had come.

...and why "sweet-akari?" In one of my favorite anime series, To Heart, the main character's name is Akari. She is incredibly kind and sweet and cares deeply for those around her. I guess you could say she's the kind of person I'd aspire to be. ^_^; Anyway, I wanted to evoke this feeling and bring some sweetness to the Internet. ^_~
