Akari is an incredibly sweet girl whose thoughts seem to focus mostly around one subject: her feelings for Fujitaka Hiroyuki, whom she has known since kindergarten. Akari isn't boy-crazy - she rarely even mentions her feelings out loud. But she quietly dreams of being together with "Hiroyuki-chan" forever.

Even Akari's hobbies and special talents seem to be those of a wife and homemaker: she is an excellent cook and she also knits. Simple happiness is her way of life. Akari collects teddy bears - her first bear came from Hiroyuki years ago. Despite her quiet nature, however, Akari is very social and likes to hang out with her friends, especially Nagaoka Shiho, who she met in junior high. Along with Satou Masashi, Hiro's best friend, Akari, Shiho and Hiro make up an inseparable quartet.

Caring and compassionate, Akari is always willing to help out others or give moral support where necessary. She is a kind, caring friend to everyone she meets.
