Aoi is a first-year student whose passion in life is martial arts - in particular, a rather controversial form known as "extreme" fighting. She works hard to help her chosen sport gain credibility among other martial artists, trying to recruit other students (including Hiroyuki ^_^;) to join her Extreme Fighting Club. In particular, she wants to gain the approval of Sakashita Yoshie, a member of her former dojo. Aoi also idolizes Kurusugawa Ayaka, Serika's sister, who is a friend of Yoshie's and who practices extreme fighting.

What makes Aoi so likeable is her earnest and dedicated nature. When she sets her mind on something, she doesn't give up - especially with friends like Akari, Shiho and Hiroyuki to cheer her on. Team spirit and personal effort exude from this girl - and she tries her best to instill them in others as well.

In my opinion, anyone who can convince Hiroyuki to do anything other than eat, sleep, and play arcade games deserves a medal. ^_^;
