As the series' main male figure, Fujita Hiroyuki becomes an acquaintance (and presumably a friend) of pretty much all the girls. Sometimes this amazes me, given his laziness and his seeming desire to do nothing but eat and sleep. Hiro-chan's not bad-looking, I must say... but what really endears him to those around him is his open, kind attitude.

Hiroyuki's laid-back personality makes him approachable even to people who are shy and withdrawn. Serika-senpai sees his open mind: he is willing to attend a meeting of the Occult Club. In Hiro, Rio finds a shopping companion. Aoi gains a supporter and practice partner. Don't get me wrong - Lemmy's friends with him too, and she's as far from shy and withdrawn as you can get! ^_^ Hiroyuki never judges the girls around him, but treats them like equals and people worth knowing. For some of them, it's the first time anyone has done that - and it only makes sense that many crushes should develop. ^_^

In many cases, Hiro and Akari work as a pair - with Hoshina, Kotone and Multi, both get to know the new person at the same time. I think that Hiroyuki IS aware of Akari's feelings for him, and I don't think that he minds, deep down. He is thoughtful enough to pick out the little teddy bear keychain, right? It's as if he just accepts Akari's presence at his side and expects it to be there always without him having to say anything.
