Himekawa Kotone is painfully shy. She also has a special power of predicting the future; however, this very power has caused her to withdraw from everyone around her. In the past, Kotone-chan's powers have always ended up frightening people away; Kotone's premonitions are really like a warning system for impending danger. Because the things she predicts are always bad, people think that hanging around her is dangerous.

Kotone's family doesn't seem to be around much either. She lives in a large house and presumably the family has some money; but Kotone-chan spends a lot of time alone - what began due to other people's fear has in fact become self-enforced. She does have a strong liking for animals (well, cats anyway) - they provide companionship and aren't frightened of her powers.

The cutest thing about Kotone is that she has a crush, not on Hiroyuki like everyone else, but on Masashi! I'm so glad he's got SOMEONE who picks him over his grumbling, lazy best friend. ^_^ She tries to stay away, but, just as in Hoshina's case, Akari works her magic and Kotone finally comes out into the world. When acting on her premonition saves Masashi from injury, she realizes that her powers can be positive and begins to open up.
