OMAKE 1 · Usual Morning
OMAKE 2 · Private Room
OMAKE 3 · Hanging Out Together
OMAKE 4 · Monster Shock
OMAKE 5 · (can't remember title - the bookstore one)
OMAKE 6 · We have 100% attendance today!
Fujita Hiroyuki, a typical (but lethargic) boy, and Kamigishi Akari, a sweet red-haired girl, are now several years older and in the same high school class together. Hiroyuki and Akari have remained friends since that first day of kindergarten. This episode focuses on their close bond, and on the lottery which will determine the seating arrangement for the new school year.
Another prominent character is introduced as well: Karaoke queen Nagaoka Shiho is in Class B (the others are in Class A), but she comes to visit... Shiho, Akari and Hiroyuki have been friends since the start of high school. Hiro's best (guy) friend, Satou Masashi, shows up in this episode too. He's a star soccer player and really sweet guy who is in Class B with Akari and Hiroyuki. The class representative, Hoshina Tomoko, also makes her first appearance. She is quiet and hard-working, and although she gets treated poorly by some of the other students, she doesn't seem to let it bother her. Finally, Miyauchi Remmy, the perky blonde half-American is briefly introduced.
OMAKE 1 · "Usual Morning"
I'm really not sure why they put this right after episode one, since you wouldn't understand most of it unless you've played the game (and maybe not even then). It features super-deformed versions of all the characters doing their usual thing... or are they? Hiroyuki gets his usual wake-up call from.... Shiho?!? Basically, everyone has switched tasks with someone else. Also includes an odd scene where we finally see Hiro's family... and, er... they're teddy bears (it's Akari-related, that should explain it). This is much funnier once you've watched the rest of the series and know each character's normal role.
2 · "What Happened After School"
A popular rock band, Childish An Hour, is coming to town and the gang (Akari, Hiro, Shiho and Masashi) wants to go see the concert. The first problem: tickets! Amazingly, Shiho pulls some strings and gets two tickets, and Masashi is able to get two tickets through his sister. The second problem: Shiho only tells Akari about her tickets, and Masashi only tells Hiroyuki. The focus in this episode is on the dilemma facing Shiho and Hiroyuki, as they debate whether or not to tell everyone about the tickets (remember they each think they only have two tickets for four people). Another sweet episode.
Kurusugawa Serika is very briefly introduced in this episode, basically as a teaser for her role in episode three.
3 · "The Light Within"
While on cleaning duty in the school's garden, Hiroyuki bumps into a girl looking for something in the bushes - it's Kurusugawa-senpai. She's the rich girl in school, and is EXTREMELY quiet (Hiro repeats everything she says so that we can catch it ^^), with an... interesting hobby. Serika-senpai is the only member of the school's Occult Research Club. Hiro helps her out and she invites him to watch the next 'meeting.' This episode focuses on Hiroyuki's new friendship with Serika-senpai.
4 · "The Moment You Shine"
Here we are introduced to first-year high school student Matsubara Aoi, an enthusiastic blue-haired girl who is trying to recruit people for her amateur martial arts club. Hiroyuki of course agrees to find out more about it, nice guy that he is. ^^ It turns out that Aoi was a member of an established dojo, but she left because they didn't support her desire to participate in "extreme fighting," a sort of... uh... "anything-goes martial arts" (haha - well, what I mean is that combatants can use any form of fighting). Aoi must fight an important match to get her former dojo instructor to recognize extreme fighting as a valid sport.
Characters introduced in this episode: Yoshie, the head of Aoi's former dojo; she attends the same school as Akari & Company. Also introduced is Kurusugawa Ayaka, the younger sister of Serika-senpai. Ayaka is a supporter of extreme fighting, and Aoi basically got the idea from her. Ayaka attends Sanyo Girls' School, a stuffy private academy.
OMAKE 2 · "Private Room"
This one introduces Himekawa Kotone. She is doing homework but decides to get a little telekinesis practice in. ^^ This is *so cute.*
5 · "Under A Blue Sky"
It's the school's Field Day and Akari, Hiroyuki and Masashi are cheering on Class B. Shiho, while sitting with her friends in the Class B cheering section, is constantly declaring that Class A will win the competition. ^^ Hiroyuki is running in one of the races, and when a relay team member for Class B is injured, everyone encourages him to fill in. He's very hesitant, however, because of an experience he had in a past field day...
Everyone who's been in the show so far shows up for this episode: Hoshina-san, Aoi-chan, Remmy-chan, and Serika-senpai (with a very amusing performance in a paper-ball-tossing game ^^) all do their best to support Hiroyuki.
6 · "Inspiration"
Hiroyuki meets Hinayama Rio, a sort of clumsy girl who's afraid of dogs. Rio compares everything that happens to her to a shoujo manga. ^^ She (like all the other girls in this series) has a problem - she needs to find a birthday present for her little brother, but she doesn't know what he'd like. Hiro agrees to help her out, and their "date" starts some rumors flowing around the Shiho Information Network.
OMAKE 3 · "Hanging Out Together"
Ayaka takes Hiroyuki fishing. "FIIIIIISHU!" ^^
7 · "A Wandering Stare"
Akari and Masashi see a quiet girl with pale purple hair sitting in a park in the evening. The girl is playing with a small black and white kitten. When she notices Akari and Masashi, she runs away, and the kitten takes off too. Just after the kitten rounds the corner, the purple-haired girl freezes -- a premonition flashes through her head of the kitten being hit by a car. She whirls around just in time to hear the squeal of tires and to see the kitten lying in the road. Afraid, she runs away. Hiro and Akari take care of the kitten, but the girl doesn't want to be contacted... Meanwhile Masashi is getting ready for a big (practice) soccer game.
This episode concentrates on Himekawa Kotone, a quiet, shy girl with some psychic and telekinetic capabilities. Like everything else in this show, her abilities are just taken in stride as part of everyday life. Kotone spends a lot of time by herself because she is afraid of others' reaction to her powers, and because she only gets premonitions of bad events. However, there is one factor that might convince her to get out more. And I'm not telling... watch the episode! ^^
8 · "A Quiet Interlude"
This is probably my favorite episode. ^^ Akari, Hiroyuki, Masashi and Shiho are planning to study together at Akari's house since Akari's parents are away for the day. Unfortunately, Masashi ends up having other plans and Shiho's got a nasty cold, so it ends up being just Akari and Hiroyuki. The two spend a quiet day studying, looking at photo albums, and fielding calls from an insanely curious Shiho. ^^
OMAKE 4 · "Monster Shock"
Serika creates a monster who steals everyone's lunch. This is really pretty funny.
9 · "Essence of the Heart"
The school is having a festival, and each class is creating some kind of booth. Class B is making a tea room, and Class A will have a karaoke booth (guess whose idea that was...). Hoshina-san is on the committee to design the tea room, along with the obnoxious blue-haired girl and friends from episode 1. They treat her horribly, but she shrugs it off in order to get the job done, because she just wants everyone else to have a good time. However, when their excessively elaborate plans fall through, Hoshina-san is left to pick up the pieces, with the help of Akari and her friends.
10 · "A Dreaming Smile"
A new face is seen at school - that of HMX-12, or "Multi," a cleaning robot who is being tested out by Kurusugawa Electronics. Multi is a cheerful, enthusiastic, sweet girl-robot who quickly becomes not just an appliance, but a friend to the school's students (especially Akari and Hiroyuki). Unfortunately, if Multi does not successfully fulfill her function as a cleaning robot, she will have to leave and will be replaced by another model. This is fun episode - DORYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! (This storyline is continued in episode 11.)
11 · "The Warmth of Your Eyes"
This is the episode which determines the fate of HMX-12 "Multi." At first it seems like there's no doubt that Multi will be the model chosen for production, considering how well she interacts with humans and how enthusiastically she performs her duties. However, we are introduced to HMX-13 "Serio," Multi's "sister" robot, and suddenly it doesn't seem so certain. ;_; Serio has no people skills and is completely emotionless, but her success as a cleaning robot is no doubt superior to Multi's. Serio can even assist with other functions, such as giving directions via a satellite hookup. What will happen to Multi?? This episode contains the adorable scene in which Akari tries to teach Multi how to cook. ^^
12 · "The Season of Feeling"
It's nearly Christmas, and everyone's busy. Shiho runs into a friend from junior high school who is planning a huge Christmas party. Shiho gets invited, but she ends up developing party plans of her own. We get to learn much more about Shiho and how she met Akari & company. Most significantly, Shiho must determine her own feelings on a subject she thought she knew: her feelings for Hiroyuki! (This storyline continues into episode 13.)
13 · "A Snowy Day"
Shiho's party plans are progressing. Everyone is invited - there will (of course) be karaoke, and food, and lots of decorations. It looks like fun! Shiho, however, is rather preoccupied by her own thoughts. It seems that she really may have feelings for that obnoxious Hiroyuki after all! But she knows she must take into account Akari's feelings for Hiro... who of course is oblivious as usual. ^^ This is a fantastically sweet episode (I cried T_T). It's also a great end to a wonderful series.
OMAKE 6 · "We have 100% attendance today!"
Actually, there is just a little more!! The sixth and final omake shows the entire cast as characters in a play (the audience is visible as well). Hiroyuki is running a class, taking attendance. The class discusses possibilities for an upcoming play. There's even a reference in this to the games - Hiro makes a comment about Akari's eyes looking different than 'usual' - in the game her eyes are much more angular.
